In The Spotlight

Matt Corby – “Reelin'”

Born and raised in Oyster Bay, New South Wales, this Australian singer and songwriter grew up with gospel music. Aged 6 he got a guitar and started lessons. As a teen he shaped his talent with a church band called Iron And Clay and he appeared on Australian Idol aged 16, finishing as runner-up. Inspired by artists like Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, he debuted with his EP “Song For…” in 2009.

Influenced by the devastating times he’s had to endure, including his family home being hit by floods, his new music is about finding a place to accept the good and the bad. Taken from his upcoming album “Everything’s Fine”, expected on March 24th, his delectable new single has a funky and easy-going R&B vibe, enriched by smooth horns and comforting vocals, giving it a full sonic flavor.

Theresa Rex – “Feeling Fine”

This Danish singer/songwriter has done stints in various indie groups and girl metal bands, but was ultimately discovered performing gypsy-jazz in her local town square. This led to lending her voice to Martin Jensen’s “Solo Dance” in 2016 and a collaboration with Jonas Blue on “What I Like About You” in 2019. Inspired by Janis Joplin and Gladys Knight, she debuted with “Wild Ones” in 2018.

Bridging electric dance music with a touch of infectious 80s pop, her new single is an infectious brew of diverse genres which effortlessly blend together. Kicking off with an understated dance beat, fresh handclaps and her crisp vocals, this track bursts to life in a sparkling retro pop chorus. With an insatiable energy and spirited guitars, this dance-floor bop will make you feel better than fine.
