Jazlyn Martin – “Germy”

Born and raised in Los Angeles, this Afro-Latina singer, songwriter and actress grew up in a highly creative, multi-cultural household. With her mother being a dancer and her father a musician, music was in her blood. She’s had classical dance training from a young age, studied at the L.A. County High School For The Arts and in 2025 played SXSW. As an actress she’s known as Jackie in Bel-Air. Inspired by Stevie Wonder, Jazmine Sullivan and Jill Scott, she released her debut “Perfect” in 2024.

Addressing the state of the modern dating pool and the untrustworthy behavior of certain men, her new single reminds women to stay safe out there when dating. Infused with a sharp-witted attitude, her empowering lyrics are accompanied by a vibrant, upbeat groove. With an imposing bass and pounding beat driving the song, the sleek synths add a bright R&B flavor. And with her layered vocals blending sass with silk, this sonic warning is a west-coast-dipped tune filled with tenacity.
