Kyle Dion – “Hang Me Out To Dry”

Raised in South-Florida and now based in Los Angeles, this sassy singer and songwriter has been singing and writing songs since the age of 9. After his move to Los Angeles he started taking vocal lessons at a music school. He opened for PARTYNEXTDOOR on his European tour in 2016. Inspired by Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Prince, he released his debut “Painting Sounds” in 2016.

Describing feeling emotionally drained due to unrequited love, his new single captures the relatable tale in a deliciously soulful R&B melody. Taken from his EP “If My Jeans Could Talk”, it’s the slow beat, mellow guitars and laid-back keys that create a retro-dipped smooth groove. And with his astonishing falsetto vocals stroking every note, this ear-stroking tune is a full-flavored R&B treat.

Sammy Rae & The Friends – “Coming Home Song”

Based in Brooklyn, this diverse, self-proclaimed ‘collective of dreamers and artists’ was formed around front woman Sammy Rae as a musical family. Sammy started writing songs at 12, although she had grown up with music. After a move to New York at 19, she created the 7-piece band. Inspired by Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty, they released their debut “Kick It To Me” in 2018.

Lavishly sprinkling their classic rock roots with copious amounts of 60s and 70s soul, their new single is a colorful, vintage-dipped groove. Singing about the importance of loving ourselves, the song entices you in with a retro beat and smooth vocals, before adding some soulful oomph. With lively horns, rousing keys and sizzling harmonies, this is a sweltering tune filled with infectious sultry soul.
