Whiskey Myers – “Antioch”

Hailing from Palestine in Texas, this sextet of Southern rockers got their start when friends Cody Cannon and John Jeffers began learning the guitar together. Since then they’ve expanded their line-up with four more musicians, played festivals worldwide and had songs featured in TV shows such as Yellowstone. Inspired by Lynyrd Skynyrd and Waylon Jennings, they debuted with “Road To Life” in 2008.

Having enriched their bare-knuckle country-rock sound with gospel-styled backing singers and invigorating funky horns, their new single is a booze-drenched explosion of sonic TNT. Ogi – “Envy”

Born and raised in Wisconsin, this Nigerian-American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist grew up playing viola and singing in a jazz choir. She went on to experiment with piano and guitar and performed in an acapella group at University. Now Los Angeles-based and inspired by Mary Mary, Marvin Gaye and Nina Simone, she debuted her own soulful sound on “I Got It” last month.

Described by her as a persona love letter to haters in her life, her sophomore single makes a lyrical statement and wraps it in warm, opulent nostalgia. With smooth vibes blending classic soul with a touch of mellow jazz, it’s the gentle piano, soft percussion and soothing harmonies that create an ear-stroking melody. Sonny Tennet – “Gold”

Hailing from South Shields, this rising British singer and songwriter began his musical journey playing in local pubs aged 14, supported by his dad who was the singer of the band Pineapple Head. Since then he’s had songs featured on TV shows “Love Island” and “The Only Way Is Essex”. Inspired by Stevie Wonder and James Morrison, whom he supported on his tour, he debuted with “Princess” in 2017.

Joining together various sonic elements taken from soul, R&B and retro-pop, his new single offers something for every ear. Kicking off with a short barbershop harmony, the melody unfolds with a rich bassline, handclaps and his vintage-dipped vocals, before erupting into a bubbly, 80s-styled chorus. Born and raised in Lavaltrie, QC, this Canadian singer and songwriter grew up in a music loving family. Inspired by the success of a school concert, she started taking singing and trumpet lessons. After moving to Montreal aged 18, she played local venues and was lead singer in the musical Symbiose. Influenced by Billie Holiday, Etta James and Amy Winehouse, she debuted with “A Night At Honey’s” in 2018.

Borrowing from the expansive regions of classic soul, her new single is vibrant and brimming with passion.
