Adam Douglas – “Build A Fire”

Growing up in Oklahoma, USA, this singer and songwriter draws inspiration from a tasty melting pot of music and culture, ranging from Howlin’ Wolf to Tom Petty and Ray Charles. A move to Norway in 2007 added another layer to his eclectic sound. He expertly mixes elements of soul, gospel, jazz, country, R&B and roots music and debuted his rich sound on the EP “Your One And Only Man” in 2013.

Dedicated to his wife and with genuine emotion and love running through its sonic veins, his new single blends lyrical authenticity with an ingenious brew of musical essences. Taken from his upcoming album “Better Angels”, expected on May 3rd, the primarily classic STAX-like soul is seasoned with a pinch of country zest. Upon moving to Los Angeles, this award-winning singer, songwriter and vocal coach immersed herself in the local latin jazz/pop music scene. She performed both as a lead vocalist and as background singer at festivals such as the Montreal Jazz Festival and even on The Tonight Show. Many shows followed as lead singer of her own group Ascension as well as working with Laura Pausini and Joan Sebastian.

Capturing pure emotion in a four minute vessel, while standing out like a buoy in a vast auditory sea, her plush new single is a passionate piece of powerful puissance. Starting with a wall of blazing horns, it calms down to introduce her mighty, soulful voice, only to ascend with a sleek rhythm and choral backing. Rose Corps – “Not Just An Angel”

Although she always enjoyed singing, the first love of this singer, songwriter and DJ was dance. Born Aeron Premo, she spent her childhood in Europe, enriching her love of jazz, soul and classic pop with diverse genres. Inspired by Teena Marie, OMD and Little Boots, she adopted her new moniker, played her first DJ gig in 2017, opened for Roosevelt in 2018 and debuted with “Fantasies” in 2019.

Embracing the neon sounds of the 80s while giving it a modern DJ twist, her new single pleases both the vintage lovers as the dance crowd. Generously ladened with 80s disco vibes and pop pizzazz, it’s the vibrant rhythm and her ingenious use of synths to inject both era’s that makes this jam sound irresistible. Born as Jaten Dimsdale, this preacher’s grandson played football as a child, but every fiber of his being was filled with music. Active in Atlanta’s metal, punk and rap scene, he played and sang in multiple bands, including Elefvnts. In 2019 he uploaded a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You” to YouTube, which has been viewed over 5.1 million times. He debuted his first original song “Picky” in 2020.

Although the sleeve makes you suspect otherwise, his new single celebrates soul in all its glory. A mellow gospel piano, a punchy R&B rhythm and fresh electric guitars lay a foundation for his incredible soul-infused vocal mastery.
