In The Spotlight

Silky Steps – “Fly, Goodbye”

Formed in 2014 in Pärnu, these Estonian five-piece funkateers scored Album of the Week on popular radio station Raadio 2 and has been exciting audiences at varied national music festivals, such as Intsikurmu and Tallinn Music Week. They’ve also been on a tour around China. Drawing comparisons to music by Nile Rodgers, Justice and L’impératrice, they released their debut “The One” in 2017.

Fueled by the glittering disco soul of the 70s and 80s and featuring Robert Linna of Lexsoul Dancemachine fame, their new single tackles the subject of mutual respect. Taken from their upcoming album “Universal Language”, to be released on June 2nd, it’s the insatiable disco beat, retro violins, crisp electric guitars and their deliciously vintage harmonies that will drag you onto the neon dance-floor.
