Thee Marloes – “Midnight Hotline”

Hailing from Surabaya, this Indonesian trio got their start when guitarist Sinatrya Dharaka met drummer Tommy Satwick in high school and started gigging across South-East Asia. Joined by singer Natassya Sianturi in 2019, they blend elements of their local culture and music with soul, jazz and pop. Influenced by The Jackson 5, Norah Jones and Erykah Badu, they debuted with “Love Potion” in 2021.

Telling tales of a late night love affair that leaves a person desiring more, their new single binds classic soul and retro jazz into an infectious earworm. With a sweeping rhythm, red-hot horns and fresh guitar riffs laying down a jazzy tune, it’s the sensuous warmth of the honeyed, soul-infused vocals that take your ears on a rousing musical journey through the excitement of after-hours romance.

Aaron Taylor – “Have A Nice Day”

Born and raised in London, this British Neo-Soul singer and songwriter found his voice singing in church. Initially learning music by ear, he wrote his first song aged 14 and went on to study music at Goldsmiths. Since then he’s amassed over 10 million streams on Spotify and featured on an Apple Watch ad. Inspired by Stevie Wonder, D’Angelo and Donny Hathaway, he debuted with “Still Life” in 2016.

Oozing with positive vibes to encourage the listener to seize the day, even when things are tough, his new single is a delicious brew of neo-soul sweetness and classic R&B nectar. Taken from his EP “HAVE A NICE DAY!” and with a plush upbeat rhythm and sanguine synths creating a full-bodied, ear-stroking melodic sunshine, it’s his multi-layered, soul-dripping vocals that brighten every note.
