In The Spotlight

Brent Cobb – “Southern Star”

Hailing from a small town in rural Georgia, this Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter first sang with his father’s rock band at a festival aged 7. As a teenager, he fronted a local band called Mile Marker 5. Since then he’s opened for artists like Blake Shelton and wrote songs for country stars like Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and Little Big Town. He debuted with his album “No Place Left To Leave” in 2006.

Instead of looking for the northern star to guide you home, he looks at the southern star to take him back to his roots. Taken from his upcoming same-titled album, expected on September 22nd, his new single represents where his heart belongs. Blending country and soul with a mild 70s flair, it’s the easygoing keys, mellow rhythm and his soothing vocals that make this sound like a warm hug.
