Camila Knight – “Journey”

Based in the UK, this eclectic singer and songwriter has been singing and dancing all her life. First engrossed by her dad’s record collection of Elton John and Queen, she started singing in church aged 9. As well as taking piano and vocal lessons, she attended L’AULA Berklee College of Music in Barcelona. Inspired by artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell and Lorde, she debuted with “Angels” in 2020.

Chronicling the longing to make a change in life and going on a journey of self-discovery, her new single is a lavish pop blend. First creating a celestial dreamscape with a silvery synth tone and a mild beat, the song adds a rich vibrancy in the emotional and atmospheric chorus. And with luscious backing harmonies and her breezy vocal finesse, this luring tune becomes something truly special.

Jesse Roper – “Make It All Work Out”

Hailing from Victoria, BC, this gifted Canadian singer and songwriter started playing the guitar aged 6. However, a fear of performing in public prevented him to go on stage until his late twenties. Since then he’s supported artists such as Keith Urban, Tower Of Power and Beth Hart. Initially releasing his music as The Roper Show, he debuted his first blues-rock album under his own name, “Red Bird”, in 2015.

Highlighting the need to work on a relationship, even when both parties have different dreams, his new single enters the realm of emotive, classic soul. Still keeping hold of a foundation of blues, it’s the easy-going rhythm and his virtuosic guitar skills that draws the melody to a 60s soul gem. And with his impassioned vocals reaching deep in your heart, this soulful tune definitely works out.
