Mereki – “Wake Up Dead”

Born in Australia and now based in the UK, this vibrant singer and songwriter has been on the music scene for over a decade. She grew up listening to the likes of Angelique Kidjo, Roxy Music and INXS. As well as writing songs for other artists, she’s fronted Goldroom and later performed with Flight Facilities on their North American Tour. She debuted her solo sound on “Blue Lake” in 2013.

With deeply personal lyrics telling the story of finding peace in a dreamworld, but feeling scared of life after waking up, her new single travels musically from a sleepy state to a vivid soundscape. Taken from her album “Death Of A Cloud”, the track starts mellow, slow and enchanting, before waking up with a Fleetwood Mac-like vitality. And with her verdant vocals, this luscious jam is a sonic dream.

Duke & Goldie – “Rocky Mountain Feeling”

Initially from Toronto, Eric “The Duke” Duquette and Jena “Goldie” Gogo toured Canada and the US as members of the band Blue Sky Miners. Moving to Protection Island of the coast of Vancouver in 2020, where they reconnected with nature, Jena began honing her songwriting skills and Eric created a 60s and 70s-inspired country-folk sound. They released their debut song “Courage” earlier this year.

Inspired by the feeling of calmness generated by seeing the Rocky Mountains from a tour van many years ago, their new single celebrates the healing energy of mother nature. Expertly blending retro rock with a touch of country and a dash of folk, it’s the invigorating rhythm, the mix of both electric and steel guitars and the warmth of their storytelling vocals, that make this an earthy tune.

Camila Knight – “Journey”

Based in the UK, this eclectic singer and songwriter has been singing and dancing all her life. First engrossed by her dad’s record collection of Elton John and Queen, she started singing in church aged 9. As well as taking piano and vocal lessons, she attended L’AULA Berklee College of Music in Barcelona. Inspired by artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell and Lorde, she debuted with “Angels” in 2020.

Chronicling the longing to make a change in life and going on a journey of self-discovery, her new single is a lavish pop blend. First creating a celestial dreamscape with a silvery synth tone and a mild beat, the song adds a rich vibrancy in the emotional and atmospheric chorus. And with luscious backing harmonies and her breezy vocal finesse, this luring tune becomes something truly special.

Jesse Roper – “Make It All Work Out”

Hailing from Victoria, BC, this gifted Canadian singer and songwriter started playing the guitar aged 6. However, a fear of performing in public prevented him to go on stage until his late twenties. Since then he’s supported artists such as Keith Urban, Tower Of Power and Beth Hart. Initially releasing his music as The Roper Show, he debuted his first blues-rock album under his own name, “Red Bird”, in 2015.

Highlighting the need to work on a relationship, even when both parties have different dreams, his new single enters the realm of emotive, classic soul. Still keeping hold of a foundation of blues, it’s the easy-going rhythm and his virtuosic guitar skills that draws the melody to a 60s soul gem. Born and raised in Wangaratta, Victoria, this Australian singer and songwriter dreamt of becoming a country-pop artist. She started playing cover shows from the age of 14. In 2018 she spent a year studying in Nashville, honing her skills in performing, writing and recording. Inspired by artists like Keith Urban, The Chicks and Fleetwood Mac, she released her debut single “The Great Unknown” in 2019.

Conveying the message that everybody should embrace who they are, faults and all, despite what haters might think, her new single is filled with empowerment and encouragement. Conjuring a bright, summery vibe with a refreshing melody, it’s the airy guitars, sunlit drums and radiant violins that forge a carefree country tune.
