Charming Liars – “Blame”

When a teenage Karnig Manoukian and Mike Kruger met in London’s West End, they decided to merge their eclectic musical tastes and began playing in a series of bands touring all over the UK. After a bold move to Los Angeles in 2013 they found chemistry with vocalist Kiliyan Maguire. They debuted with their 2013 EP “New Disorder” and recently toured with The Faim and Angels & Airwaves.

Giving refreshing contemporary indie-rock an anthemic chorus and sprinkling it with some neon flavors, their new single shines bright like the summer sun. Driven by a bouncy bass, gleaming guitars and a relentless rhythm, it blends modern sounds with some cool 80s rock vibes and with the slick and energetic vocals adding a sunlit sparkle, this spirited jam is a rockin’ good way to treat your ears.

Brooke Law – “Hunger”

Influenced by her multi-ethnic family, this British singer and songwriter incorporates her values and beliefs in her music. She started writing songs aged 15 and studied at the Institute Of Contemporary Music. Drawing inspiration from powerful female voices like Janis Joplin, Annie Lennox and Sia, she crafted a sound that is honest, empowering and gutsy. She released her debut single “Hidden” in 2018.

Taking an intricate, contemporary production and an emotive pop melody, her new single is both genuine and anthemic. With shimmering synths, imposing drums and her impassioned vocals taking the listener from soft, but poignant verses to the fiery chorus, this rousing tune tackles her own battle with OCD. Blending melancholy with sonic strength, this jam leaves you hungry for more.

Lexsoul Dancemachine – “Nu Reality”

Based in Talinn, this 6-piece Estonian red-hot funk outfit has been raising roofs and exciting audiences with their dynamic live performances since 2013. They debuted their invigorating feel-good sound on their album “Deus Lex Machina” in 2015, earning them much acclaim by Craig Charles of BBC radio 6 and listeners alike. They continue to set festival stages on fire, like Funky Elephant and Pori Jazz.

With an exhilarating vintage groove, their new single adds a touch of disco to the overload of 70s styled funk. Taken from their upcoming album “Lexplosion II”, expected in May, a thumping rhythm and retro wah-wah guitars are splashing onto the infectious, foot-tappin’ soundscape, while their soulful vocals and unexpected violin solo by Liis Lutsoja truly make this lively jam a funkalicious reality.

Miya Miya – “Underwater”

The four members of this British band started making music together after meeting at university. Having grown up listening to bands like Fleetwood Mac and Queen, they combined those classic influences with contemporary artists such as Imagine Dragons and The Chainsmokers. They started as a songwriting and production team, most notably with “All Night Long” by Jonas Blue & Retrovision.

Stepping into the limelight themselves, their debut single sparkles with luscious pop sensibilities. First teasing the senses with a mellow vibe, the chorus bursts out in an anthemic explosion of thrilling grooves. With glittering electronic elements, scintillating synths and a bouncy bassline, these rippling soundwaves allow the emotive vocal harmonies to surf effortlessly on the auditory swell.

Andy Jordan – “It’s Complicated”

Initially finding fame through the reality TV show “Made In Chelsea”, this London-based British singer, songwriter and entrepreneur, is most at home creating music, which he has been doing since he was a teenager. Influenced by the likes of Chet Baker, Sam Cooke and Melody Gardot, he’s developed a delicious blend of pop, jazz, blues and soul. He released his debut single “Whole Lot Of Water” in 2013.

Indulging in a honeyed, laid-back jazz style, his new single feels like a comforting warmth on a chilly evening. With mellow keys and his nectarous vocals, the song has a rich, organic feel. When the smooth rhythm and sleek guitars join in, it turns into an ear-stroking delight. Singing about the complexity of our relationship with ourselves, it’s contemplative and honest with a touch of aural romance.

Laur Elle – “July”

Born in the US, Laurel Clouston is an award-winning singer and songwriter who spent her early childhood moving 15 times, until settling in Canada aged 11. She trained as an Elite level gymnast, before immersing herself in the world of music as a late teen and starting to put her poetry to music. Winning the Bell Media Prize allowed her to further her musical proficiency. She debuted with “Fade” in 2017.

Slowing ascending to a candy-coated crescendo, her new single is both velveteen and infectious. Taken from her upcoming debut EP, expected in May 2020, a pop beat guides her silky voice to a glittering chorus. With the intricate melody adding a slight shimmer to the rich production and lyrical artistry and highlighting her stunning vocals, this is a striking piece of beauteous pop.
