Violetta Zironi – “One More Goodbye”

This Italian songstress started writing her first songs at the age of 16. Having formed a Country/Blues trio, she performed all over the North of Italy. Her musical journey took her to London, Berlin and the US, gaining experience and inspiration from the musicians she played with and shaping her diverse sound by blending Americana, Folk and Country with her impassioned Mediterranean roots.

Her latest single is a gorgeous treasure of authentic, melancholy beauty and is proof that sometimes just having an acoustic guitar and a delicate voice is all you need to create an elegant song in which both folk influences as jazzy touches can be heard. Chronicling the emotions that heartbreak can bring, the exquisite fragility of her sumptuous vocals make it sound lusciously honest.

Emma van Heyn – “I’m Tired Of Being Broke”

Born in South-Africa, but currently based in Shanghai, this eclectic singer, songwriter and performer has been writing and composing music since she was 6 years old. Having a classical background, she’s sung in the worlds best choirs. Her kaleidoscopic array of musical creations also included making her acting debut in the short film “Luister”. She released her debut album “Asylum”  in 2016.

On her latest single she explores the millennial music of the early noughties, as well as the contemporary credit crisis problems of the era, which she experienced herself when she left university. With a cool beat, sleek synths and melodious acoustic guitar chords accompanying her neoteric, silky vocals, this track gels together into a rather catchy polyphonic pop song, which you won’t get tired of.

PEER – “Bird”

These four rockin’ Dutch teens from Middelburg got together as a band in 2014, won the Buma Music Academy Award and released their debut single “Change Me” all in that same year. Diving into the festival circuit, they played a multitude of major gigs and went on to win lots of competitions along the way and earning rave reviews with their dynamic indie-rock sound with a  britpop edge.

Creating the perfect soundtrack for enjoying the plentiful sunshine at the beach or on a roadtrip, their latest single epitomizes the essence of Summer fun. With a carefree, jolly feel, they dipped their indie-rock stylings in a pool of retro Britpop sounds. A happy rhythm, playful guitars, a highly infectious hook and some good-natured vocals form a happy-go-lucky jam, which feels deliciously joyous.

Rén With The Mane – “Changes”

Renée Orshan, aka Rén, is a Brooklyn-based indie-pop songstress who embodies her principle of letting go of everything holding you back and living life to the full. Her performances are a family affair with her brother Reuben on lead guitar and her sister Eden singing background vocals. Inspired by the likes of Kimbra, No Doubt and Lily Allen, she tries to inject a fun, quirky tint to her pop style.

Her latest single has a little of everything that is good about music. It has an ethereal atmosphere to which you can just dream away, but at the same time it’s also a very catchy, uplifting pop song. With a laid-back, guitar-driven melody, a smooth, yet lively rhythm which leads to an invigorating climax and gorgeous, sultry vocals stroking your senses, this is an absolutely enchanting auditory gift.

Jessica Wilde – “Cry For Me”

This sassy singer and songwriter grew up in the Brixton area of London, immersed in her mother’s obsession with jazz and soul, which she soaked in contemporary hip-hop flavors to forge a fiery fusion. With determination to pursue a career in music, she flew to Los Angeles, where she recorded her upcoming debut EP in Ne-Yo’s studio and worked with chart-toppers Rudimental and Emeli Sandé.

Combining a hip-hop beat and R&B vocals with a slew of stylish, vintage-dipped soul to create an elegant, yet electrifying new sound is not an easy task, but she makes it sound effortless on her debut single. With some cheeky piano, frisky percussion, slick choral harmonies and her sprightly, soulful and charismatic voice, this is a perfectly measured mix of retro soul spice and modern R&B zest.

Dan Sharp – “Lifeline”

Raised on a steady diet of classic rock, surrounded by guitars, music has always been a constant theme in the life of this singer and songwriter from New-Zealand. Having briefly strayed from his musical path to pursue a career in Corporate Finance, he fully committed himself to music and started developing a sound reflecting his passions. His debut EP “Ad Lucem” was released in 2017.

His latest single is a glorious amalgamation of classic rock, blues and a touch of soul. Sounding organic and honest, it’s filled with his undiluted passion and respect for the joys and life-force of music. With driving drums, singing electric guitar chords and the surprising addition of the rich Hammond organ sound, it’s his gritty soul/blues-touched vocals, which make this jam simply irresistible.
