Maya Delilah – “Need A Word With Cupid”

Based in London, this British singer and songwriter is a gifted guitarist first and foremost. She started having acoustic guitar lessons aged 8 and added the electric guitar aged 16, after entering the BRIT School where she studied music. Influenced by D’Angelo, John Mayer and Prince, she created a fusion sound blending lo-fi jazz, R&B and ska and released her debut “Tangerine Dream” in 2020.

Weaving personal lyrics about an emotional breakup experience into a masterfully written melody, her new single sparkles and shines like a diamond. Entering Cupids world with gentle harps, she then adds some mild keys while narrating her story. Blending smooth jazz, bubbly R&B and a soulful touch with her beguiling voice, it’s easy to fall in love with this silken, yet empowering sonic gem.

Kristian North – “Halfway To Heaven”

Hailing from Montreal, this eclectic Canadian singer and songwriter spent over a decade as the frontman of punk band Babysitter. With a passion for exploring new musical genres and lyrical themes, his solo sound is an organic amalgamation of Warren Zevon’s soft-rock, Marvin Gaye’s downtempo groove and Roxy Music’s art pop. He released his solo debut album “The Last Rock N Roll Record” in 2018.

Fusing upbeat pop, lively soul and an excess of charisma, his new single binds the best elements of 80s music into one polished package. Taken from his new album “Passion Play”, it’s the mellow rhythm and the titillating horns that entice you in, where the neon-lit guitars and his suave, Bowie-esque vocal chops will enchant you. Showcasing his lyrical skills and musical mastery, this retro jam is superb.

Only Bricks – “Big Girl Shoes”

While both are practicing lawyers, this husband and wife duo finds their true calling in music. Anne DiGiovanni and Joseph Lewczak got married in 2017 and they debuted with their EP “Foundation” only a year later. Named after the lyrics of “Risk It All” by The Vamps, they build their indie-pop sound inspired by ABBA and Billy Joel, as well as contemporary artists such as FRANKIE and The Mowgli’s.

Shining a light on the continued inequality between men and women in the workplace, their new single blends upbeat indie-pop with a touch of classic punk. Starting off with bouncy guitar plucks and almost seductive vocals, this track explodes in the chorus. With 90s-touched, sonic TNT bursting out and Anne’s fiery and empowering voice, this inspiring, anthemic tune is as joyous as it is powerful.

Raye Robinson – “Daisies”

Born in the radiant sunshine of Southern California, this Los Angeles-based vocalist, songwriter and musician picked up her first ukulele at the age of 12. She’s a Musicians Institute graduate and she started an indie-pop band called Blossum. in 2018. Now embarking on a solo career and influenced by songwriters such as Jason Mraz and Sara Bareilles, she forged a fun, feel-good pop sound.

Lyrically chronicling confusing matters of the heart, her solo debut single forms an intimate sonic surrounding and fills it with skilled dynamics. Taken from her upcoming EP “Crushes & Love Songs”, she starts with gentle keys and her silken vocals, before coming to life in the chorus with a bouncy bass, rich piano and a sunlit bounce. Emitting an innocence as well as ardent joy, this is an intoxicating jam.

Chadwick Station – “Coming Back For More”

Formed in the UK in 2010, but now relocated to the music capital of Nashville, this British quintet style spans across the genres, ranging from Brit pop through R&B via rock and country to classic soul. Consisting of Alvis Kensington, Ian Lancaster, Curly Maddox, John Cotner and Peter Tutt, they create their tunes depending on their mood. They debuted with their EP “Waiting For A Sunny Day” in 2013.

Adding soulful swing to their vast arsenal of musical artistry, their new single jazzes up some retro R&B and lively blues with classic big-band panache. The joyous, blazing horns are stirring your senses, while the bouncy bass and scintillating keys pad the rich melody with aural delight. The Foxies – “Screws”

Founded by front woman Julia Lauren Bullock in Nashville and expanded with guitarist Jake Ohlbaum and drummer Rob Bodley, this glitter-punk trio combine thrashing punk, electronic pop and rock ‘n’ roll into their unique goth-disco sound. They released their debut single “Floods” in 2015 and played their euphoric live shows at renowned festivals like Sundance, Bonnaroo and South By Southwest.

Turning up the sonic kilowatts and dipping it in neon retro vibes, their new single is an ingenious amalgamation of vigorous rock, 80s power-pop and a touch of 70s punk. With a relentless driving beat, vintage keys and fiery rock ‘n’ roll guitars laying down a potent tune for her Gwen Stefani-touched vocal moxie to play with, this bouncy jam sounds both rugged and raw, as sparkling and refreshing.
