Cally Rhodes – “Downfalls”

Inspired by the music of Kate Bush and Fleetwood Mac and having grown up surrounded by music, this Welsh singer and songwriter creates honest, catchy pop songs about love. She debuted with “Anyone But You” in 2018, but it was her second single “System” that got the music scene buzzing. Labelled BBC Introducing Artist Of The Week in 2018, her music has been played on national radio and TV.

Forging a mystical electronic soundscape, her new single sprinkles some contemporary magic on the tune. Using a simple bass strum and bouncy beat to accompany her alluring airy vocals, asking a potential lover to accept both her good and bad sides, it leads into a lively, upbeat and very infectious chorus. With high-spirited vibes beaming from the modern melody, this is a refreshing pop groove.

Dirty Loops – “Rock You”

Hailing from Stockholm, the three members of this funky Swedish band are long-time friends and music school classmates. Consisting of Jonah Nilsson, Henrik Linder and Aron Mellergardh, they started releasing their own take on famous songs in 2010. They can count artists like Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder and Adam Levine among their famous fans. In 2014 they released their debut album “Loopified”.

Getting back after focusing on solo endeavors for a few years, their new single is bursting with highly infectious funkalicious energy. Brimming with classic melodies, from the bouncy bassline to the insanely skillful percussion, this exhilarating funk fiesta has the power to lift anyone’s spirit. And with red-hot blazing brass and Stevie Wonder-touched vocals, this vibrant  jam is full of good clean funk.

VYO – “Born To Die”

Born in sunny Nice, this glamorous French vocalist and songwriter has been singing since she was a child. She decided to write her songs in English as she loved the way it sounds. Inspired by Lianne La Havas, Stevie Wonder and Dua Lipa, she created a groovy pop sound. She initially wrote songs for others, but as a desire for self-expression grew she debuted with her single “Our Chemistry” in 2019.

Giving off a spellbinding chill vibe, her new single fuses influences from a multitude of genres. With a sprinkling of jazz, a smidgen of R&B and a pinch of pop, there is something for every ear in this deliciously airy sonic jam. The mellow guitar shines bright, the easygoing percussion adds a soft bounce and her velvety smooth vocals dance across the notes, making this a tune that is born to please.

David Benjamin – “LOVE (All I Got)”

Although he graduated in 2014 from the Film Academy in Amsterdam and worked as a cameraman and director on movies, this Dutch singer and songwriter decided in 2014 to commit to his musical career. Inspired by Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Coldplay, he crafted a subtle pop sound, which earned him the 3FM talent award in 2015. He also co-wrote Lost Frequencies’ worldwide hit “Crazy” in 2017.

Utilising an acoustic guitar and a catchy hook, his new single is a cheerful indie-pop banger. Taken from his EP “Waking Up”, the infectious rhythm and intricate melodic runs conjure up memories of sunny days spent at the beach. Radiating joyous warmth, his charming, laid-back vocals are floating on the gentle waves of a sonic sea and create a sumptuous summery vibe you’ve just got to love.

Jade Hilton – “I Would”

Born in Toronto, this Canadian singer, songwriter and musician started playing violin aged 5. Later she added piano and guitar. She moved to the US to study Broadcast Journalism at the University Of Illinois. Now back in Toronto, she’s performed at a multitude of local venues. Quoting Freddie Mercury and Avril Lavigne as influences, she debuted her lush solo sound with “This Love” in 2018.

Proving that less is definitely more, her new single takes the listener on an emotional exploration of the wounds left by a previous love. With a mellow, reverberating electric guitar echoing throughout the song, it’s joined by a laidback rhythm and her refreshing and enchanting vocals. Blending gentle indie-folk with a touch of pop, this gem takes your ears on a sentimental journey of lost love.

Dizzy – “The Magician”

Based in Oshawa, Ontario, this exciting Canadian dream-pop band consists of brothers Charlie, Alex and Mackenzie Spencer and lead singer Katie Munshaw. Influenced by London Grammar, Alvvays and Lorde, they forged a luscious sound to alleviate the boredom of the suburbs. They debuted with their acclaimed album “Baby Teeth” in 2018 and won Best Alternative Album at the 2019 Juno Awards.

Despite the emotive lyrics about wanting to bring a friend back to life who passed away, their new single radiates a melodic sparkle. Taken from their upcoming sophemore album “The Sun And Her Scorch”, expected on July 31, it’s the rousing rhythm carrying the both the velveteen vocals as the sonically invigorating chorus with ease, that puts your ears under an irresistible and enchanting spell.
