While living on the Orkney Islands, this British singer and songwriter started to develop her original 80s-influenced electro-pop sound. Flavio Jerome – “On Your Side”

This Belgium-born singer and songwriter spent most of his life traveling the globe making music. Barely out of high school he moved to Japan and worked as a drummer. However, a passion for singing and songwriting took him to London, where he honed his skills. In 2016, back in Japan and influenced by artists like Sade, Jamiroquai and Michael Kiwanuka, he started on creating his debut album.

Taken from that inaugural album “Moving In Slow Motion”, released in 2019, his new single is a funkalicious upbeat party. Kicking off with an invigorating beat and 70s-styled wah-wah guitars giving the song some delicious retro flavors, it’s the playful handclaps and his crisp vocals joining all aural elements together. And with sweltering synths seasoning the groove, this is a thrilling funky stew.

April Ivy – “Can’t Fight This Feeling”

Born as Mariana Gonçalves, this 20 year young singer and songwriter grew up in the radiant sunshine of Portugal. From the age of nine she provided voice dubs for Disney films, like Toy Story 3 and Tangled. In 2016 she topped the national iTunes chart as an independent artist with her acclaimed debut “Be OK”, which led to her becoming the first Portuguese artist to sign with Universal Music France.

Returning to her independent roots, her new single brings out infectious disco beats and douses them into some resplendent glitterball luster. The Coronas – “Haunted”

The three members of this Irish rock trio – Danny O’Reilly, Graham Knox and Conor Egan – met at Terenure College in Dublin and formed a band initially called Kiros.
