Ann King – “I Wouldn’t Mind”

Born as Annemarie Overwijn in The Netherlands, this passionate singer, songwriter and performer grew up immersed in music. She studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg before hitting the music scene as ANEMARY in 2015 and debuting with “Alive”. She’s played festivals like Bevrijdingsfestival and Fringe. Continuing to evolve, she started 2019 with a new name, new sound and US shows.

Blending powerful pop with a haunting melodic beauty, her new single drags you into her world straight from the first note. Taken from her upcoming album “Fake Flowers”, expected in January 2020, she first shows a delicate vulnerability, before bursting out in an upbeat fusion of a lively beat, searing synths and dance elements and with her fervent vocals, this is a heartfelt gem full of positivity.

Alice Jemima – “Dancing In Love”

This self-taught singer, songwriter and guitarist started writing songs aged 12 and went on to get a summer job at the famous Glastonbury festival. Blending classical guitar with electro beats, she self-released her debut EP “All The Boyfriends” in 2012, but it wouldn’t be until 2014 that Sunday Best label owner Rob Da Bank signed her, resulting in the release of her spellbinding EP “Liquorice” in 2016.

Taken from her forthcoming album “Everything Changes”, slated for an October 18 release, her new single is wrapped in a vintage discolicious shimmer. Reminiscent of a 70s Donna Summer/Giorgio Moroder collaboration, it combines a pulsating beat, retro wah-wah guitars and electronic elements with silky violins and her bewitching, seductive vocals into a disco jam you will fall in love with.

Twin Peaks – “Dance Through It”

Formed in 2010, this five-piece rock band from Chicago has embraced change over the years, keeping their sound fresh and vibrant. Debuting with their album “Sunken” in 2013, they have evolved both musically as their live show performance, leading to an appearance on CONAN in 2016, playing festivals like Lollapalooza and Coachella and supporting Cage The Elephant and Wilco on their US tours.

Teasing the upcoming release of their new album “Lookout Low”, expected to drop on September 13, their new single introduces their groovy side. Starting with a mellow, slightly mysterious sounding bass, which will guide you through the song, it’s the sunny, easy-going vibe from the percussion and Cadien Lake James’ vocals which will hug your ears, while the funky brass makes you want to dance.

Delena – “One Night”

Born in Kiev, this Ukrainian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist spent her childhood singing traditional Ukrainian ballads and jazz alongside her pianist father. Deciding on a more modern electro pop path, she moved to London to attend the Institute Of Contemporary Music. Inspired by legends like Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Adele, she released her self-titled debut EP early 2019.

Dipping her electro-pop stylings in bright, neon colored shades of the 80s, her new single is a slick, multi-layered powerhouse of pop. The vigorous beat, sparkling synths and a fierce, infectious chorus blend together into an auditory brew of retro and contemporary spirit. Lyrically warning against one-night stands, the effervescent heat of her vocals add some attitude to this anthemic pop jam.

Francis Aud – “Say It Loud”

This active New Yorker first picked up a guitar in high school and used his experiences with several heartbreaks to join a love for poetry and his music into songwriting. An university graduation later and he’s performing his music in renowned venues. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Al Green and Marvin Gaye as well as Allen Stone and Bruno Mars, he released his debut EP “Tender Things” in 2017.

Taken from his upcoming second EP “FONK”, which will be released in the Fall, his new single is a funkalicious feast of epic proportions. An invigorating rhythm and electro guitars drive this zesty jam beyond any speed limit, while picking up hitchhikers in the form of a vintage organ and exhilarating brass along the way. And with his funky, retro rapping vocals, this is a song that needs to be played loud!

Candace Woodson – “Never Let Go”

Kentucky-born, this inspirational artist discovered her singing voice at the age of 5, when she and her sisters had a gospel group. Wanting to cast her musical net further, she became the first graduate of the music program at Tennessee State University. Even though she survived cancer surgery in 2014, she continues to perform her empowering music, spanning gospel, pop, R&B and soul.

Taken from her debut album “Desire”, her new single is a velvety soul ballad in which 90s R&B meets classic soul. The easygoing percussion, smooth synths and mild strings shape a shimmering soundscape, perfect for when the sun goes down. With an infectious hook and her satiny, soul-steeped vocal artistry gently stroking your eardrums, this delightful tune is a slow-dance you never want to let go of.
