In The Spotlight

Goodfoot – “The One”

London-based duo Huw Foster and Danny Sharples are on a mission to create intelligent pop, heavy grooves and good vibes. Fronted by Danny on lead vocals, and Huw on electric & synth bass, their extravagant funk/soul live act consists of 9 members of authentic horns, rhythm section and backing vocals. Influenced by Daft Punk, Chic and Prince, they released their debut EP “New Shoes” in 2017.

Their exhilarating new single definitely puts the fun in funky. Even though the song is driven by soaring contemporary synths, it’s the scrumptious layer of retro grooves which truly elevates this song. Reminiscent of Earth, Wind & Fire, the full-bodied brass is thrillingly ear-popping and the addition of the sleek 70s strings and disco-dipped vocals makes this a lively funkalicious party.
