St. Lucia – “Rocket On My Feet”

This musical project is formed by South-African singer, songwriter and musician Jean-Philip Grobler, who started making music aged 12. He studied music in Liverpool, UK and then moved to New York. The project got started in 2012 and includes his wife Patti Beranek. Quoting mainly 80s influences such as Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac and Phil Collins, he released his self-titled debut EP in 2012.

Returning to the music scene after a few years hiatus, their feel-good new single is created to shine a joyous light in the darkness of the world. Forged from equal parts of colorful disco, 70s funk and 80s pop, this groove dazzles with a luminescent glow. With the electro synths, spirited rhythm and his multi-voiced vocals, this meteoric jam will make those hot rockets take off to the dancefloor.

Savine – “What A Life”

Based in Amsterdam, this intoxicating Dutch singer and songwriter started playing violin aged 7, but traded it in for piano at the age of 13. She grew up listening to the jazz and soul of Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin and later Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse. After first getting her BA Law degree in Amsterdam, she went to London to study at BIMM. She released her debut “Makes Me Feel” in 2019.

Chronicling the various different and exciting stages of a relationship, her new single carries a feel-good message. Starting with a mellow piano and a touch of smooth organ, this invigorating track is a delicious amalgam of classic soul, vintage jazz and retro R&B. Soon it bursts to life with a feast of peppy rhythms, full-bodied horns and her mighty vocal power, that makes us say: What a tune!

Sophia Alexa – “Hit And Run”

Born in California, raised in Amsterdam and now based in London, this singer and songwriter grew up surrounded by different music ranging from bossa nova and jazz to 70s classics. She wrote her first song aged 12 and got enchanted by sonic storytelling. Last year she supported Greta Isaac on her tour and, inspired by Joni Mitchell and Neil Young, she released her debut single “House Of Cards”.

Writing about the realization that she feels the need to escape when she gets too close to a person, her new single carries the honest lyrics on a bed of musical optimism. With an upbeat rhythm driving the tune, enriched with breezy guitar strums and melodic keys, it’s her organically sweet vocals putting the finishing touches on this polished gem that fills it with sparkle and vivacity.

Ryan Meeking – “Better!”

Australian born and now London-based, this indie-pop singer and songwriter got known as one of ‘Australia’s best-kept musical secrets’. However, he’s been working in the music scene for a while with Gossling and his band Whitaker, who had had their songs featured on TV shows like Suits and Teen Wolf. Inspired by artists such as Beck, he debuted his solo sound on his single “Endless Run” in 2021.

Created while in lockdown, separated from family and friends, his uplifting new single focuses on not wasting time by narrating the story of two people who’ve always been friends, but flirted with being more. Wrapped in funky pop tones from the bouncy rhythm, luminous keys and full-flavored electric guitar, it’s his sunlit, sugar-sweet vocals that add a touch of soul to this scrumptious tune.

Based in the Los Angeles sun, this up-and-coming singer and songwriter started his career in music as a session guitarist. Initially posted as an unfinished track, his new single went viral on TikTok, reacing over 4 million views and adding over 35.000 followers in mere days. Now released in full, it is produced with a wistful, upbeat vibe, despite singing about his ex’s red flags.
