Hailing from Toronto, this multi-cultural Canadian singer and songwriter formed a love of music at a young age, thanks to her jazz musician grandfathers. Having grown up with mental health issues and her parents’ health battles, she found refuge in music. Since she’s performed for President Obama and was awarded Canada’s Top Artist For Social Change. She debuted with “Like You Do” in 2015.
Paying tribute to the true strength and resiliency of her mother, her new single enriches the smooth R&B melody with an admirable honesty. With soft keys, an easygoing guitar and mellow percussion blending into a soothing euphony, it’s her beguiling, silky vocals and the addition of a gospel choir to the ascending sonic energy, that makes this soulful salutation a thing of authentic aural elegance.
