While serving in the US Navy as an air traffic controller, singer/songwriter Dave Munro started sending demos home. In 2009, with the addition of Adam Salameh, Joe Campbell, Bobby Borenstein, Emi McSwain and Steve Scott, the band was formed. Their music has been placed in film, TV and video games. Likened to CHVRCHES, Pulp and Death Cab For Cutie, they debuted with “The One” in 2009.
Initially created as a demo on an old Korg Triton Keyboard, their new single chronicles Dave Munro’s time in the Navy and the life-changing event of moving off base. Taken from their upcoming album “Dash”, to be released on November 11, they’ve added a funkalicious sax to their rich pop-rock sound. And with a reverberating beat, fresh guitar and bright vocals, this lush groove is exhilarating.
