In The Spotlight

Sipprell – “Wish You Were Here”

Born in South-London as the youngest of five and raised by a singer mom, this British vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist grew surrounded by an eclectic mix of musical styles. Proficient in piano, guitar and violin, she embraced the UK R&B scene. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Brandy, Solange and Anderson .Paak, she debuted her R&B/Soul sound on her EP “Letter D” in 2015.

Lyrically longing for a lost lover and mulling over what could’ve been or might even still be, if given the chance, her new single tells a very relatable story. Combining a deliciously smooth soulful vibe with a luscious 90s-dipped R&B layer, it’s the laid-back percussion, mellow piano and her enchanting and emotion-laden vocals that makes this magical melody sound full of heartwarming sentiments.
