Born in Brisbane into a musical household, this Australian singer and songwriter’s parents were both members of the ‘outback Motown’ group Banawurun. With performing in his blood, he would perform Michael Jackson songs to friends and family as a child. In 2013 he became a finalist on Australia’s Got Talent. He draws inspiration for his rich, soulful sound from Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Usher.
Dipped in a delectable fusion of smooth classic soul and a contemporary production, his lush debut single makes an impressive initiation to the music scene. Accompanied by a bass heavy rhythm, he starts with a hiphop vocal, before effortlessly switching to his Motown-touched, sensuous soul voice.
