In The Spotlight

Devon Gilfillian – “All I Really Wanna Do”

Born in Morton and now Nashville-based, this American soul singer and songwriter began playing guitar aged 14 and led bands while in college studying psychology. As the son of a wedding singer, he grew up surrounded by music and listened to greats like Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and The Temptations. He opened for Keith Urban, Mavis Staples and The Fray and debuted with his self-titled EP in 2016.

Lyrically championing living in the moment and taking chances on love and life, his new single is an ingenious, genre-spanning blend. Taken from his upcoming album “Love You Anyway”, expected on April 7th, it’s the catchy beat and sensuous vibe, dipped in classic soul hues, that gives it an ear-pleasing quality. And with his swooning, soulful vocals, all you wanna do is listen to this groove.
