David Benjamin – “LOVE (All I Got)”

Although he graduated in 2014 from the Film Academy in Amsterdam and worked as a cameraman and director on movies, this Dutch singer and songwriter decided in 2014 to commit to his musical career. Inspired by Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Coldplay, he crafted a subtle pop sound, which earned him the 3FM talent award in 2015. He also co-wrote Lost Frequencies’ worldwide hit “Crazy” in 2017.

Utilising an acoustic guitar and a catchy hook, his new single is a cheerful indie-pop banger. Taken from his EP “Waking Up”, the infectious rhythm and intricate melodic runs conjure up memories of sunny days spent at the beach. Radiating joyous warmth, his charming, laid-back vocals are floating on the gentle waves of a sonic sea and create a sumptuous summery vibe you’ve just got to love.

Jade Hilton – “I Would”

Born in Toronto, this Canadian singer, songwriter and musician started playing violin aged 5. Later she added piano and guitar. She moved to the US to study Broadcast Journalism at the University Of Illinois. Now back in Toronto, she’s performed at a multitude of local venues. Quoting Freddie Mercury and Avril Lavigne as influences, she debuted her lush solo sound with “This Love” in 2018.

Proving that less is definitely more, her new single takes the listener on an emotional exploration of the wounds left by a previous love. With a mellow, reverberating electric guitar echoing throughout the song, it’s joined by a laidback rhythm and her refreshing and enchanting vocals. Blending gentle indie-folk with a touch of pop, this gem takes your ears on a sentimental journey of lost love.

Dizzy – “The Magician”

Based in Oshawa, Ontario, this exciting Canadian dream-pop band consists of brothers Charlie, Alex and Mackenzie Spencer and lead singer Katie Munshaw. Influenced by London Grammar, Alvvays and Lorde, they forged a luscious sound to alleviate the boredom of the suburbs. They debuted with their acclaimed album “Baby Teeth” in 2018 and won Best Alternative Album at the 2019 Juno Awards.

Despite the emotive lyrics about wanting to bring a friend back to life who passed away, their new single radiates a melodic sparkle. Taken from their upcoming sophemore album “The Sun And Her Scorch”, expected on July 31, it’s the rousing rhythm carrying the both the velveteen vocals as the sonically invigorating chorus with ease, that puts your ears under an irresistible and enchanting spell.

Joe James Lewis – “Ending The Affair”

Music seems to come natural to this British singer, songwriter and musician. At an early age he would improvise hymns on the piano with no musical training. Later he added a guitar and wrote his first song. He spent his teens playing gigs. His eclectic sound is influenced by wide-ranging artists like Radiohead, Amy Winehouse and Roy Hargrove. He debuted with “Day Dreaming” in 2019.

Adding a delicious creaminess to the pure honey-dipped breezy vibes, his new single is a luscious amalgamation of a funky rhythm, vocal soulfulness and a touch of smooth jazz. Hailing from Newcastle, this British soulstress has always had music in her veins. She spent many years supporting artists such as Jane McDonald and Jessie Ware, as well as singing lead vocals with Nick Pride & The Pimptones. She debuted her solo career in 2018 with the single “Clone”. Since then she’s featured her sultry sound at various festivals, SoFar Sounds Liverpool and an European/UK tour.

As the first chapter of a five-part series, her new single blends delectable vintage soul with a touch of smooth jazz. Despite the cheeky lyrical concept of a threesome, it’s an easygoing auditory dream. A mellow rhythm, mild guitar and lush piano conjure up a soothing soundscape in which her enchanting voice gets to play with the sweet violins, making this tune a promise of sheer sonic beauty.

The Elation – “Live A Life”

This Cork-based, Irish four-piece band, consisting of Chris Cansdale, Declan Kelleher, Billy Whelan and Denis Burke, has been making high-energy indie-pop since 2015. Inspired by Toto, Michael Jackson and Blink 182, they spent 18 months honing their sound, before debuting with “XO” in 2017. Known for their electrifying live shows, they’ve been on national tours and played various major festivals.

Foot-tappin’, infectious and radiating summery sunshine, their new single sounds like a colorful cocktail by the pool. The joyous piano is merely a gateway to the tropical pop flavors which are to follow. Singing about not letting go of your dreams, even in these difficult times, they fill the cheerful tune with plentiful lustrous horns, a sing-a-long chorus and exuberant island vibes, creating a jubilant jam.
