In The Spotlight

Hana Brooks – “Leave It”

This London-based singer/songwriter has spent the summer playing live on the Sofar Sounds circuit in London. She’s working together with producers Nick Bennett (London Grammar, Zak Abel) and Daniel Green (Coldplay) and was featured on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music. Her sound is too eclectic to capture in one genre, but it’s based around indie pop with rock influences.

Her upcoming debut release is a highly pleasurable pop tune with an accentuated bass line and a very catchy chorus, which has a distinct addictive quality, but what stands out is her intriguing voice. It carries effortlessly over the pop groove, but has a raspy, gritty rock quality as well, which gives the song an extra, unexpected layer. It definitely shows a bright future for this British songbird.

The single will be available for download from her website on 6 November 2017.
