In The Spotlight

Lauren Sanderson – “Frustrated”

A rebel on the music scene, this singer and songwriter started off being her own manager, booking her own first tour and recording her music in her bedroom closet. That dedication, passion and self-assurance shines through in her songs. She debuted with “Oceans” in 2015 and went on to open for FINNEAS on tour. Early 2020 she released her first full-length album “Midwest Kids Can Make It Big”.

Exploring both the dark and light corners of her synth-pop sound, her new single paints a powerful image of her search for the love she deserves. Reminiscent of Miley Cyrus and SZA, she manages to find an auditory balance between gloomy and hopeful. With shimmering synths, a pulsating beat and her compelling vocal energy, this slick ear-pleaser is a powerhouse of contemporary pop/rock.
