ESTANI – “Droughts In The Ocean”

Upon moving to Los Angeles, this award-winning singer, songwriter and vocal coach immersed herself in the local latin jazz/pop music scene. She performed both as a lead vocalist and as background singer at festivals such as the Montreal Jazz Festival and even on The Tonight Show. Many shows followed as lead singer of her own group Ascension as well as working with Laura Pausini and Joan Sebastian.

Capturing pure emotion in a four minute vessel, while standing out like a buoy in a vast auditory sea, her plush new single is a passionate piece of powerful puissance. Starting with a wall of blazing horns, it calms down to introduce her mighty, soulful voice, only to ascend with a sleek rhythm and choral backing. Emphasizing the zeal of both words and notes, this jam shows the essence of soul.

In The Spotlight

Rose Corps – “Not Just An Angel”

Although she always enjoyed singing, the first love of this singer, songwriter and DJ was dance. Born Aeron Premo, she spent her childhood in Europe, enriching her love of jazz, soul and classic pop with diverse genres. Inspired by Teena Marie, OMD and Little Boots, she adopted her new moniker, played her first DJ gig in 2017, opened for Roosevelt in 2018 and debuted with “Fantasies” in 2019.

Embracing the neon sounds of the 80s while giving it a modern DJ twist, her new single pleases both the vintage lovers as the dance crowd. Generously ladened with 80s disco vibes and pop pizzazz, it’s the vibrant rhythm and her ingenious use of synths to inject both era’s that makes this jam sound irresistible. Add her sparkling vocals into the mix and you get a phenomenal, retro-dipped groove.
