In The Spotlight

Alexa Cappelli – “Whiplash”

Raised in the sunny climes of Southern California, this emerging singer and songwriter grew up around music. She took vocal lessons through her church’s art program and performed in several singing competitions. In 2018 she appeared in season 14 of The Voice as part of her idol Kelly Clarkson’s team, making it to the live playoffs. She debuted with her EP “The Colors That Make You” in 2019.

Although lyrically tackling the insecurities and pitfalls that come with modern dating, her new single is using an upbeat melody to infuse it with a rich sense of positivity. Cleverly layered with acoustic guitars and catchy beats, it’s the multi-vocal harmonies and her crisp, refreshing voice that adds a touch of passion to the luminous tune and make this a primo song that will tickle your eardrums.
