Grown up in Philadelphia into a family of musicians, this proficient artist and multi-instrumentalist started taking piano lessons aged 4, but switched to saxophone later. Exposed to the sounds of Charlie Parker and Cannonball Adderley, he continued to study and hone his craft. He’s recorded with artists like Mariah Carey and Queen Latifah and debuted solo with “I Wanna See My Friends” in 2020.
Blending a plethora of genre’s with a cheeky bounce, his new single is a rich and infectious bright spark on the music scene. Taken from his album “Sam Greenfield Sucks”, the track builds up from crisp keys to the plucky bass chords and sprightly rhythm and a mind-blowing jazz sax solo at the end. With touches of funk, pop and jazz all merging into one peppy jam, this is an exceptional groove.
