Cherise – “Secrets”

Based in London, this gifted British songstress always wanted to become a singer. She studied jazz at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire Of Music and plays viola and flute. Since she’s performed at jazz festivals and at BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall. In 2019 she also won Jazz FM Vocalist Of The Year. Inspired by Marvin Gaye, Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald, she released her debut “Paradise” in 2019.

Telling the story about being brave enough to be yourself completely with a lover and not keep secrets out of fear, her new single is a genuine and passionate piece of sonic art. Giving the silky-smooth jazz foundation a touch of soul and a dollop of R&B, the song is driven by a mellow rhythm and enriched with shimmering keys. And with her sirenic voice putting a spell on you, this tune is utter bliss.

Martyn Scott – “Lazy Days And Lullabies”

Hailing from Rotherham, this British musician has been playing for over 21 years. Firstly a guitarist, he is skilled on most band-based instruments. He started in a band called The Shakes at 17 and toured the clubs. Drawing inspiration from bands like The Beatles, The Smiths and The Stone Roses, he used lockdown to write, record and self-release his debut album “Maybe Just Maybe” in 2021.

Expertly crafted by blending 60s and 70s-styled pop-rock and a touch of britpop in a heartfelt sonic brew, his new single is an euphoric nostalgic groove. Easing into the song with an acoustic guitar, it soon ascends with a slide guitar and mellow drums. Joined by some sweet violins, it’s his harmonic vocals and the crisp guitar solo that give this feel-good, retro-dipped tune a catchy sophistication.
