This Minneapolis-based husband and wife duo, consisting of Chris and Rebekah Bartels, debuted in 2013 with their album “Dreaming Free”, conceived as a music school senior project and intended to be folk. However, Chris fell in love with a synth pop sound and introduced a funkier side on their second album “Secret Youth” in 2015. While raising three young children, they’re always honing their artistry.

Taken from their upcoming third album “Emotion Vertigo”, which is expected to drop on November 8th, their new single delves into the vintage vortex of 80s synths. With a distinctly funkalicious vibe from the electronic gadgetry, groovy guitar strums and her refreshingly upbeat vocals worming their way into your ears, this revitalizing portion of glittering retro pop is something especially fine indeed.
