Laura Kits – “’81 Chevy”

Born in Amsterdam, this Dutch songbird finds her musical inspiration in American country-rock and pop. She forged an unique country sound, influenced by artists such as Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, as well as the pop & rock tones of Bruce Springsteen and The Beatles. Also an accomplished songwriter and violinist, she debuted with her critically acclaimed EP “Skipper Canyon Road” in 2017.

Grabbing the listeners attention with a boot-stompin’ beat and a country guitar singing along to her powerful voice, her new single delivers upbeat vibes with a fierce edge. Taken from her upcoming album “Holy Fountain Water”, expected at the end of March, the chorus erupts with pop-coated country twang and empowering lyrics, making this an invigorating, foot-tappin’ Americana jam.

The Mowgli’s – “Wasting Time”

The five members of this Californian band take the best parts of the Golden State, sprinkles them with some west coast sunshine and merges them with their message of universal love. With a sound influenced by classics like The Beach Boys and Fleetwood Mac, as well as modern artists such as Fun. and Grouplove, they slide across the genres. They debuted with “San Francisco” back in 2012.

Kicking off the new decade with some joyous tones, their new single is a celebration of exhilarating upbeat pop. The bouncy beats, passionate synths and ear-stroking vocal harmonies give the contemporary tune a retro touch. Offsetting the melodic exuberance is the lyrical search for meaning in a repetitive world. Blending the auditory jubilance and melancholic lyricism, this is a sprightly gem.
