Genevieve Miles – “Storm Before”

This Birmingham-born, British songbird dipped her toe into the world of music in the folk clubs of the Cotswolds during her teenage years. Now in her early twenties, her sound evolved from an upbeat folk/pop to a sunny, one-of-a-kind genre meld. She released her debut single “Daffodils” in 2017. Gaining support from BBC Introducing, she played a set on their London-based live event in 2019.

Enchanting us with a shimmering dreamscape and her angelic voice, her new single takes her own, special kind of silken, Summery tones and blends them with mellow 80s instrumentation. Incorporating touches of jazz, indie and pop, while creating a sultry atmosphere, makes this chilled tune sound extraordinary. And with the addition of a sweltering, retro sax solo, this jam is hypnotic and sexy.

Vaness Alegacy – “You Get Me”

Born as Vanessa Grazia Vescio to an Italian family and raised in the bustling cultural melting pot of Toronto, this Canadian singer/songwriter’s sound is an equally diverse brew. Inspired by Mariah Carey’s “Daydream” album, she gives timeless flavors of gospel, classic rock, pop and R&B a soulful shade. She’s written songs for commercials and TV shows and released her debut “Shooting Star” in 2015.

Celebrating being larger than life and true to oneself, her new single pumps the lyrical empowerment into the boisterous melody. While it starts with a deceptively mellow indie guitar and her R&B-stroked tones, it soon finds its classic rock-saturated backbone in the raucous chorus. Performing a balancing act between smoothness and sonic attitude, this mighty jam is filled with electricity.

Eliza Shaddad – “Heaven”

Born as the daughter of a Sudanese astrophysicist and a Scottish diplomat, this diverse singer and songwriter was raised across seven countries. As well as being a multi-linguist with a philosophy degree, she studied Jazz at London’s Guildhall. Initially honing her skills as a busker in London and inspired by music from Radiohead’s rock to Nick Harper’s folk, she debuted with her 2014 EP “Waters”.

Delivering a gripping melody from the start, her new single breathes nostalgic vibes, while keeping her feet in the here and now. With a harmony of guitars forging a late-90s feel and some understated folky touches woven through, this tune is utterly earpleasing. And with cheery harmonica into the mix and her arousing vocals relaying the need for positivity, this is a stirring and uplifting gem.

Sunny Bones – “Echoes Of You”

Hailing from Norfolk, this British duo got to know each other through their previous band Box Of Light. When the band dissolved, Helen Anderson and Ben Asker decided to continue with a sound more to their taste. Having similar music tastes, ranging from Alvvays to Dolly Parton and all of classic rock, helped create their nostalgic blend of pop with country vibes. They debuted with “Be Cool” in 2020.

Finding the perfect balance between dreamy pop and lively country is not the easiest of tasks, but on their new single they certainly make it sound effortless. With a smooth, colorful steel guitar and a laid-back rhythm the song instantly starts stroking your ears and with Helen’s refreshing country tones singing about still caring for a lost love, this vivid tune will keep on echoing in your ears.

Corinna Jane – “I’m Not Ready Now”

This Franco-British singer and songwriter was born in Germany, but grew up in England and speaks English, French and German. With a passion for music, she started to play tunes on the piano by ear, before taking lessons aged 5. She’s been featured on BBC Introducing, as well as German station RBB 1 and played festivals in the UK and Germany. She debuted with her EP “Hard In Love” in 2015.

Drawing on deeply personal emotions following the death of her mother, her new single blends genuine and honest lyrics with an enchanting, piano-driven melody. Starting the song with just an imposing piano and her stirring vocals creates a heartwarming atmosphere and with the addition of a mellow beat and dynamic guitars, this earnest track reaches down and touches your soul.

Jeff Beadle – “Shadows”

This Canadian singer/songwriter was born into a music loving family and their encouragement led to him starting to write songs aged 12. He began to perform locally and creating various bands in High School. Continuing to write and perform, he took on a day job as a pool cleaner. Pouring his experiences into his lyrics and folk-inspired melodies, he debuted with “The Huntings End” in 2014.

Tackling his own struggles with anxiety, his new single shines a light on the shadows we all carry with us. With a vibrant rhythm and compelling guitars forging quite a poppy melody, he enriches the sound with mild touches of folk. And despite his dynamic vocal harmonies exploring the different levels of his anxiety and finding a willingness to let it go, this tune becomes a thrilling, foot-tapping jam.
