In The Spotlight

White Raspberry – “High Class Luvr”

Having studied flamenco guitar and having played in classic rock cover bands, nothing could have prepared this one-man funk machine for the life-changing moment he bought a Moog Rogue synthesizer and was bewitched by its distinct sound. Being a multi-instrumentalist, he played every note on his self-titled debut EP himself and uses real instruments from the 80s to get the most genuine 80s electro-funk sound.

Inspired by the Minneapolis sound, pioneered by Prince in the late 70s, his latest single transports you back to the decade of Rubik’s Cubes and neon colored legwarmers with a powerful combo of funk and rock. A ferocious beat drives this high-energy powerhouse. With the addition of sharp disco bells, jangling rock guitars and sleek harmonies, it’s the best of the 80s in one great jam!
