Based in Tokyo, Japan, Yuki “T-Groove” Takahashi is a multi-talent in the soul, R&B and nu-disco scene, being a producer, arranger, remixer and composer. Born in the 80s, he grew up with the sounds of Chic, Madonna and Michael Jackson. Although he’s been making music since 2001, it wasn’t until he was asked to remix a song by Tom Glide that he found his way back to the influences of his youth.
Having teamed up with Canadian electro-soul duo The Precious Lo’s on his latest single, they take to the musical roller rink of the 80s with discolicious verve. With an infatuating funky rhythm, rousing 80s-dipped synths and sleek choral style vocals, it’s a glitzy soundtrack for putting on your skates and neon legwarmers and strutting your stuff around a glittery roller disco.
