The term Multi-Talented doesn’t even begin to describe the plethora of diverse skills this award-winning artist possesses. She’s a singer, songwriter, actress, producer and a gifted animator. Apart from releasing innovative music since her 2011 debut EP “Nerd”, she played a part in Spike Lee’s “She’s Gotta Have It”, animates music video’s and is a cast member of the stage production of Hamilton.
Blending silky soul, velvet funk and retro R&B into a modern track is no small feat, but her latest single makes it sound effortless. The 80s tinted melody has a bracing beat, refreshing harmonies, funky guitar chords and lively synths forging an intoxicatingly dreamy Soulscape for her intense, sultry vocals to dance over. Taken from her debut album “Stay Gold”, this groove is way more than alright.
