Freedust – “Jump Up And Down”

Daniele Carmosino met singer Lisa Widmark, when he overheard her singing a Bob Marley song while attending the same university in London in 2015. They headed to Daniele’s home studio and began creating their own kind of music. Inspired by the retro sounds of 30s and 40s Swing, they soaked them in age-old samplers and state-of-the-art electronics to forge a timeless retro-pop style.

Taken from their same-titled debut EP, their latest single is the sum of adding the grooviness of the swinging 60s to the buoyant beats of the notorious 90s. Akin to “History Repeating” by Propellerheads, the sprightly guitar strums and the airy, soul-infused vocals add a vintage flavor to the bouncy, contemporary rhythm, creating a whimsical and infectious groove that will have you jumping for joy!
