Patternist – “I Don’t Feel Real”

Developed in the bedroom studio of songwriter and producer Gabe Mouer, the sound that goes hand in hand with his moniker is a construct of rhythm, percussion and lush pop arrangements to accompany hard-hitting lyrics covering topics from mental illness to drug-fueled hallucinations. He toured with artists like The Griswolds and Flor and debuted with his EP “Youth Is Fading” in 2014.

In preparation of releasing his debut full-length album “I Don’t Know What I’m Doing Here” on September 6, his latest single binds deep, existential lyrical narration with an easygoing, summery melodic ambience. Layered with a bouncy beat, sunshiny synths and airy guitar strums, the contemporary indie-pop sound gives it an upbeat pulse and with his boyish vocal tone, this jam is as real as it gets.

Olivia Rox – “It Girl”

This Californian girl was born to a singer/producer mom and musician dad. She’s graced the stage with her dad – saxophone legend Warren Hill – since the age of 2 and performed worldwide. Her life experiences and the influence of her unique musical environment are key elements in the prolific pop, rock, R&B and jazz inspired songwriting of this former American Idol 2016 contestant.

Having signed with Songbird Records, her debut single teases the release of her first, full-length album “PopRox”, to be released on September 19. Brimming with fresh, vibrant rays of sunshine, the song cleverly blends a funky rhythm and a 90s R&B opening with an upbeat 80s-like exuberant chorus and with her powerhouse, 4-octave vocal chops, this emerging star definitely has the it factor.
