In The Spotlight

Ernest Noah – “Miss Z”

This Swedish musical chameleon has journeyed through a plethora of genres, from experimental jazz to Motown and disco. Citing Queen and Elton John as his inspiration, he’s performed from Greece To Thailand. As a songwriter, he’s written chart topping songs for Japanese band Sexy Zone and released the single “Fight Until We Fall” in 2015, named ColorShift. In 2017 he signed with Rexius Records.

Embellishing the pop melody with bright, pastel-colored vintage vibes, this taster of his upcoming album “Gold” is an eighties party in your ears. With a joyous beat and shimmering synths conjuring up memories of the neon decade, it’s his Scissor Sisters-like falsetto in the chorus, which adds an unexpected, refreshing layer to this retro trip, making this jaunty jam tug at your feet to get dancin’.
