In The Spotlight

DVNA – “Sushi In Tokyo”

Hailing from the Gold Coast, this creative Australian artist is a singer, songwriter and producer whose sound was born in the comfort of her bedroom back in 2017. Having grown up with the music of legends such as The Rolling Stones and The Beatles and currently influenced by The Internet and Jorja Smith, her songwriting spans across the genres. She debuted with “Girl On The Move” in 2018.

On her new single she explores a plethora of genres, expertly blending them together into a masterful musical brew. Being a smooth, vintage trip, it opens with a jazzy feel and then adds a funky rhythm to guide her soulful, R&B-dipped vocals over the slick melodic waves. Lyrically highlighting female empowerment, it’s the polished shine of every note that makes this indulgent gem truly sparkle.
