Kerri Watt – “Cut Me Loose”

This Glaswegian singer and songwriter was brought up by a footballer dad and a tireless mum, who would take her to endless music lessons. Certain she would end up on stage, she went to music high school in California at 16. Since returning she’s opened for Mike + The Mechanics, Joe Jackson and Coldplay, as well as performed at a multitude of festivals. She debuted with “Long Way Home” in 2015.

Her inaugural single since signing with independent label Cooking Vinyl mixes bold Americana with some blues-rock grit and serves up a zinger of a song. With a relentless bass line and a pounding beat, it weaves contemporary country-rock elements with vintage psychedelic vocal attitude and emerges as an empowering stick of auditory and lyrical dynamite, exploding in the depths of your soul.

The Kondoors – “Fallen Angel”

Jess Greenfield and Gavin Conder found their romantic chemistry, well before finding their musical one. Both established live performers in their own right, having supported legends from Rod Stewart to Take That, they discovered their harmonious magic while they recorded “Forgiveness”. Drawing on influences like Sam Cooke and Dusty Springfield, they create an unique soulful folk sound.

Elevating ear-tingling smooth Americana with a touch of bitter-sweet blues, their latest single is filled with pure tenderness and a breathtaking delicacy. The acoustic instrumentation of soft percussion, mellow piano and a touch of guitar twang feels like a hug from the grooves, while their luscious, intertwined vocals gently stroke your eardrums, making this an angelic slice of musical heaven.
