In The Spotlight

Piqi Miqi – “Ice Cream”

Hailing from New Haven, CT, this multi-talented singer, songwriter, producer and model actually graduated from New York University with an economics degree. Planning on a more exciting future, he moved to Prague, where he immersed in the local music scene. With a solo sound, inspired by funk, synth-pop and R&B of the 70s, 80s and 90s, he debuted with “Don’t Fall In Love With Me” in 2016.

Mixing an 80s disco beat with flamboyant neon pop, his new single radiates a refreshing coolness. With lively funk guitar strums, sizzling synths and an infectious rhythm, it’s a dazzling sonic throwback to the era of shoulderpads and legwarmers. And with his joyous falsetto vocals leading to an unexpected late 80s rap, this summertime groove is laden with copious scoops of aural yumminess.
