Hayley Fahey – “Rosewater”

This Washington DC native singer and songwriter has been wowing audiences with her mighty, soulful voice at all her live shows. Also a multi-instrumentalist, she plays piano, guitar and mandolin. Drawing inspiration from country, blues and folk, she’s influenced by the likes of Eva Cassidy, Lady Antibellum and Joni Mitchell. She released her critically acclaimed debut album “Sweet Red” in 2016.

Starting with country guitar vibes and vocals ingrained with bluesy grit, all leading to a contemporary R&B-styled chorus, her latest single is a clever amalgamation of all the best bits of various genres. Imbued with melodic attitude, her forceful, impassioned voice effortlessly rides the slick rhythm to the vigorous electric guitar solo and gives this potent, rose-scented powerhouse a bit of a bite.
