In The Spotlight

Lauriana Mae – “Love To The City”

This New Jersey gal grew up in a small town setting, where the people had blue-collar ideals and backyard barbecues. She got accepted to a performing arts high school in New York City. Since then she’s collaborated with the likes of CeeLo Green and B.o.B. Influenced by timeless legends such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Alicia Keys, she debuted with “They Don’t Know” in 2010.

Dipping smooth R&B flavors in an easygoing, jazzy stew, her new single is an ear-tingling musical treat. The breezy rhythm, heavenly violins, mellow organ and silky horns create some laid-back vintage charm, while her sultry and suave vocal chops narrate her story with a honey-dripping sweetness. Mesmerizing from the very first note, it’s a luscious bowl of candy-coated sonic sumptuousness.
