Born and raised in Toronto, music has always been part of this Canadian recording artist and songwriter’s life. With an opera singing mom, she was always surrounded by music, both classical as her dad’s classic rock collection, such as The Beatles. After taking guitar lessons at 11, she began writing her own songs at 16. With a moniker which is an anagram of ‘listen’, she debuted with “Hurts” in 2019.
Dripping with infectious optimism and heartfelt honesty, her new single combines a romantic love song with a lively, virulent bounce. Lyrically conveying the excitement felt at the start of new love, though with a touch of healthy cynicism, it is carried by lavish electronic waves of shimmering synths. And with her majestic vocals merging into the soundscape, this is one groove that lasts forever.
