Alex Tracey – “Crazy”

This British singer/songwriter from West-Yorkshire started making his mark on the music scene in 2016 with his single “Why Won’t She Leave Me Alone”. Previously a member of several local bands, it’s with his solo work he started to create his own style. With a sound akin to The 1975 and Maroon 5, he added some funky 80s vibes into the mix to construct his own unique musical identity.

His first single of the year is a highly infectious pop jam, infused with 80s-inspired synths. The layers of a catchy beat, bouncy bass line and funky guitar chords effortlessly marry the contemporary with the retro, creating a delightfully upbeat tune which carries his exquisite, slightly falsetto, vocals with ease. With this happy sounding song 2018 is off to a great start.

Leah Capelle – “Docs”

Hailing from Chicago, this singer/songwriter embraced music from a young age, having taken piano lessons at 6, writing her own songs at 8 and taking professional voice lessons at 10. She’s attended several music colleges to hone both her performance and songwriting skills. Now living in Los Angeles, she is touring with her live band and working on her upcoming EP “Joshua”.

Her latest single is a rock-solid power-pop song which explores what’s really important in life. Produced by Grammy-award winning producer Jeff Bova, the prominent guitar riffs, vigorous drums and catchy hooks forge a fierce soundscape for her sprightly, hot-rockin’ vocals to feel right at home in. An anthemic climax puts the finishing touch on this fun, impassioned groove.
