In The Spotlight

Sophie Coran – “Feel It All”

When you ask for a piano at the tender age of two, it’s clear that music is in your blood. This singer, songwriter and pianist from Philadelphia graduated from the Manhattan School Of Music and performed live both at home as in London, New York and Copenhagen and recently in Sofar Sounds. She enlisted local band Darla to create a full-orchestral sound for her EP “All That Matters”.

The EP’s second track is like a smoky bar where soul and pop meet up with jazz and blues and make beautiful music together. With perky piano, blazing brass, infectious percussion and a vintage organ setting the scene for her sultry, jazz-laced vocals to shine and a riveting sax solo putting the cherry on top, it’s a stunningly intoxicating song brimming with seductive elegance and style.
