In The Spotlight

Ivy Levan – “Her”

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this multi-talented artist moved to Los Angeles aged 16 to chase her musical dreams. She’s not just a gifted singer and songwriter, but also a model and actress, who made her acting debut in the 2010 film “Drop Dead Gorgeous”. Her musical debut followed in 2013 with the EP “Introducing The Dame”. She went on to support Emili Sandé and Fitz & The Tantrums on their tours.

Her latest single – the first release since her 2015 album “No Good” – bounces around on an imposing pounding beat. With slightly retro-dripping keys sprinkling a playful smidge of nostalgia over this commanding contemporary pop tune, it’s her towering, audacious vocals with a cheeky sizzle, chronicling the end of a relationship, that makes it a modern slice of invigorating powerhouse pop.
