Ashe – “In Disguise”

This Los Angeles-based pop songwriter and jazz vocalist graduated in composition and production from the Berklee College Of Music. Finding herself blending modern day pop with electronic music, she collaborated with the likes of Louis The Child and Whethan. Adding her own vintage vocals to her cool pop stylings, she kicked off her solo career back in 2017 with her debut single “Used To It”.

Immersed in a laid-back, refreshingly retro pool, her new single is a summertime classic in the making. With sunlit guitars and a smooth rhythm giving it a lustrous, beach-front vibe, it’s the flower-powerful vintage tones and her sultry, sugar-coated vocals, heralding the bittersweet message to always be true to yourself, that truly fill this bubbly jam with utter charisma  and  a timeless radiance.

Satellītes – “Love & Disaster”

Born as Jasmine Bleile in rural Ontario, this Canadian songbird and musician has lived a colorful life. Musically she got her start playing saxophone in a jazz band. She graduated from the police academy, but never walked a beat. Instead she joined a folk-rock band, toured the world and went on hiatus to raise her son. Now she’s returned with a new sound of a blue-eyed soul/R&B meld.

Taken from her triumphant comeback album by the same name, her new single started life as a poem, which musician and producer Paul Cargnello put to music. It’s a sassy blend of vintage soul, 80s funk and a contemporary production. With a frisky beat, sprightly synths and her evocative, retro-dipped vocal mélange, this vivacious jam is a funky, soulful and refreshingly genuine tour de force.
