In The Spotlight

Beth Keeping – “San Francisco”

This British singer and songwriter grew up in Woking, where she found inspiration in the music of artists like John Mayer, Delta Goodrem and Martyn Joseph. After a stint as a busker on the streets of London, she started writing songs for other musicians both in the UK and abroad. With a sound marrying traditional country with modern pop, she released her debut EP “Fool” in 2018.

Inspired by her experiences while backpacking through South-East Asia, her new single takes a little detour from the Nashville twang. Smooth, minimal synths and catchy fingersnaps surround her angelic and seductive vocals, before bursting out in an infectious, anthemic pop chorus. With added contemporary electro elements basted in a retro glaze, this well-balanced tune is definitely a keeper.
